World Creator Now Lets You Create Worlds of Unlimited Size

BiteTheBytes has introduced a new version of World Creator bringing tons of new features and improvements.

The BiteTheBytes team has officially launched World Creator 2023, a massive update to their real-time GPU-based terrain and landscape creation tool.

Overhauling nearly every aspect of the application, the first stable release of World Creator 2023 brings a revamped user interface and the removal of the previous size limitation of 4,096x4,096 pixels for generated terrains. Moving forward, users can harness the program to generate highly detailed terrains of limitless size.

Furthermore, World Creator 2023 introduces new Biomes and biome layers. Biomes define the visual attributes of specific terrain regions, encompassing filters, materials, and color palettes that contribute to their generation, while biome layers function as masks, enabling the creation of finer variations within the designated Biomes.

In addition, the update comes with new shape layers and mask layers, brings novel ultra-realistic erosion and sedimentation filters, enhances the application's sculpting and rendering capabilities integrates a real-time map browser, and expands the set of Bridge Tools, which now covers Unreal Engine 5, Unity, Blender, Houdini, and Cinema 4D. Furthermore, the list of upgrades also mentions new "sat-maps" and "presets for everything".

"The list of features is also growing by the day. For example, in autumn 2023, we will add rivers and oceans, as well as powerful simulators that simulate different terrain surfaces to create perfect sediment flow (e.g. sand, snow) and water flow (e.g. glaciers, volcanoes)," commented the team on what's next for World Creator.
