Thermonator is supposed to help with wildfire control and prevention.
Following Boston Dynamics' creepy robot, the world has seen Thermonator, a robotic dog wielding a flamethrower. Developed by Throwflame, a company producing said flamethrowers, the dog will help you melt snow, deal with weeds and insects, and whatever else you might need controlled fire for.
Interestingly, the product's page says the robot is "ready" for wildfire control and prevention. As I understand it, you could burn an area ahead of a forest fire to make sure it doesn't destroy anything over the resulting line. But I admit my first thought was the dog would fight the services that arrive when it starts those fires.
It can also be used for agricultural management, ecological conservation, entertainment, and SFX.

The dog has a bunch of useful(?) features, like lidar mapping, FPV navigation, and instant ARC ignition. The flames will reach any target 30 feet away from the robot and can be controlled remotely.

Naturally, you might be wondering if it's even legal to own something like this. The short answer is yes in most cases.
"Flamethrowers are legal and unregulated in most counties. Chances are, we can ship to you.
"We have done our best to check the laws in most countries. Ultimately, you are responsible for ensuring the possession and/or use of flamethrowers is permitted in your jurisdiction. Before ordering, we encourage you to make sure you are operating in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations."

To be honest, I thought it was some kind of AI-generated joke, but it looks pretty real. Well, in that case, I can't help but agree with one of the viewers on YouTube: "Why not make it raise one leg and pee fire? I feel like an opportunity has been lost." Maybe we should brace ourselves for Thermonator 2.0.
You can get one of those abominations for $9,420 on Throwflame's website. Stay safe and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
