You'll join the Fortnite Ecosystem team as a Senior Environment Artist and help shape the future of Fortnite as a game platform. In this role, you'll have a high degree of competency envisioning and realizing all aspects of environment development in conjunction with vendor resources. You'll be comfortable wearing many hats and adapting to different art requirements as they arise ranging from modeling, sculpting, texturing, terrain and foliage, hard surface and organic art design, scene assembly and presentation skills. Alongside this, there is good opportunity for self driven agency to drive projects from ideation into realization, and work with the art director on high level vision.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Work closely with the Art Director to scope, plan and deliver high end visuals
  • Help design and drive initiative for new things that we can bring to users
  • Drive environment initiatives with minimal direction/supervision
  • Participate in content creation and implementation for the Fortnite Ecosystem
  • Work with vendors to plan asset kits, test kits and build exemplary showcases of what can be achieved with released asset kits
  • Engage with other teams in Epic to learn, adapt and grow the environment art capabilities of the team
  • Be adaptable to assist with generalist modeling and texturing requirements where they arise e.g. gameplay items and hero props

 

What we're looking for:

 

  • 5+ years experience as an environment artist
  • A broad range of 3D art skills, and flexibility to adapt to different IP project styles
  • An artistic eye, with the ability to ideate and design inspirational environment art
  • High standard of communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with change, self managing tasks and adaptable to project scope
  • Strong art fundamentals, ideally showing competency in other artistic areas
    UEFN experience a plus
