What You'll Do:
Epic is looking for a Senior Environment Artist to join the Quixel team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for collaborating with a wide range of artists, engineers, and other developers to develop large scale, procedural, real-time worlds to a high visual quality. This role requires a solid understanding of general real-time world-building, from an artistic and technical perspective, where the primary objective will be focused on constructing incredible worlds.
In this role, you will:
- Build real-time, primarily nature-based worlds and biomes in Unreal Engine
- Drive the development, content, and construction of worlds from start to finish
- Have a high level of ownership and autonomy in the developments of worlds
- Collaborate with various supporting teams, providing guidance and feedback
- Define and set a high level of visual quality
What we're looking for:
- Highly experienced environment artist with specialization in natural environment creation
- Great artistic eye for nature
- Solid understanding of real-time world building techniques and best practices
- Deep technical skills within Unreal Engine related to real-time games (PCG or similar experience is a plus)
- Has experience shipping at least one game in Unreal Engine
- Ability to work remotely, autonomously, and proactively
- High level of communication skills with the ability to converse with various disciplines
- A thoughtful and collaborative attitude, with a willingness to share regular updates and seek feedback from the team
