A Fun Pirate Animation from a WIP Cartoonish Platformer

From an upcoming title created with Unreal Engine by solo dev Spinker (Nicolas).

Solo developer Spinker (Nicolas), aka SgtSpinker on Twitter, has shared a new clip from an upcoming title, showcasing them having fun playing with the physics. The controllable character, who seems to be a ragdoll pirate, explores a beach area on an island while platforming on rocks, wooden crates, and boats.

As a prototype for now, the project is built purely with Blueprints in Unreal Engine. It doesn’t have an official title yet, but the developer plans to name it Captain Kraken.

The development only started recently, so there wasn’t much footage or details shared, other than the following two posts, one of which depicts the protagonist having fun in the ocean, stirring the peaceful water habitant which caused creatures living there to chase after him:

The developer is known for making Pumpkin Jack, a Spooky Scary 3D platformer, released in 2020 and received very positive reviews; a few months ago, the other project from the developer, an action-adventure platformer titled Akimbot, was released. It’s also worth trying out for platforming game lovers.
