In an interview with The Verge, The Last of Us 2 Co-Lead Game Designer Emilia Schatz said that the game will be Naughty Dog's most accessible game ever. The game will bring a number of accessibility options to help different players in the game. It will have options for resizing the UI, changing colors, and more.
There's a high contrast mode, for example, and touchpad based magnification for low-vision players not to sit too close to their screens while playing the game. The team has also enhanced audio so you don't have to depend solely on the visual part to play the game.
Previously, when working on Uncharted 4 the team let players open doors or lock-on to targets by using only one stick at a time. They added this feature after Josh Straub, a gamer with cerebral palsy who couldn't do the quick-time events in Uncharted 2, sent them a letter.
