Ambroise Niflette will soon have a Steam page where it can be wishlisted.
Here comes an adorable clip to melt our hearts today from the France-based indie team Topotes Studio, which is working on Ambroise Niflette. See how the joyful wooden figurine Ambroise trots into the florist like a happy bird:
“Ambroise Niflette is a detective game set in the village of Touvoir-en-Thym-et-Pomme, inspired by miniatures and stop-motion.” The story follows the event of church bells being stolen by a thief, creating some buzz in the village.
Here are a few more in-game screenshots to present the game’s graphics. The designers shared that the art was inspired by cartoons from childhood, one of which is Noddy. Although details about its gameplay are still rare, we can probably expect some puzzle-solving, exploration, and role-playing action elements from it.
The very first DevLog explains that the developers had remade all the assets to be more colorful and optimized for Unreal Engine. They also worked out a dialogue system with a camera close-up effect, making the screen focus on the NPCs when they talk.
Another footage shows the animation of the protagonist going to a puppy doctor, whose medicine cabinet opens up as Ambroise arrives:
A Steam page for the wishlist will drop very soon, and we highly encourage you to follow the developer on Twitter to receive more game-related updates in the future.
