AMD has officially revealed Radeon Pro W7900 and Radeon Pro W7800, two brand-new workstation GPUs and the first two installments in the company's Radeon Pro W7000 series. Leveraging AMD's novel RDNA 3 GPU architecture, the new graphics cards aim primarily at the workstation market, as opposed to gaming, which includes CAD, 3D animation and rendering, and VFX.
Radeon Pro W7900 is a slightly more powerful GPU, featuring 6144 stream processors, 96 compute units, 864 memory bandwidth, and 48 GB memory, while W7800 comes with 4480 stream processors, 70 compute units, 576 memory bandwidth, and 32 GB memory. Thanks to the new RDNA 3 architecture, both cards provide hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
Radeon Pro W7900 and Radeon Pro W7800 are expected to become available in Q2, 2023, costing $3,999 and $2,499 respectively. You can learn more about the new GPUs' specs here and here.
