An Artist Shows How to Quickly Model 3D Fishnet Gloves in Blender

Roman Gibadullin has shared one more low poly lifehack.

Roman "iltaen" Gibadullin, a talented 3D Artist specializing primarily in low poly modeling, has inspired us for the second week in a row by showcasing one more unorthodox technique that you could use to good advantage when setting up digital characters.

This time, the creator demonstrated how to design goth-style low poly fishnet gloves with the help of Brick Texture, showing how rotating it and tweaking the colors allows you to quickly achieve an authentic look. As before, the showcase is part of Roman's ongoing WIP character project powered by Blender, a free and open-source 3D software.

Earlier, iltaen also demonstrated a quick technique for modeling a chain by using the Array modifier to generate a series of copies of the base object and then adjusting the shape with curves:

And prior to that, the artist wowed us with his customizable foot rig made entirely from scratch without using Rigify or similar tools. You can learn more and check out Roman's earlier projects by visiting the author's Twitter page.

We also recommend checking out iltaen's YouTube channel to learn more about low poly modeling in Blender.
