CG Artist known as OfNodesAndNoodles released a new comprehensive tutorial on using Rain.Water, the artist's renowned shader node system for Blender that can create fully procedural water and volumetric raindrops from simple geometry without using particle systems, fluid simulations, or Geometry Nodes.
In this tutorial, the developer explained what Rain.Water is and how it works, discussed the nodes that make up the system, and explained how to set up water and rain effects both manually and automatically using the Rain.Water manager. The new guide serves as a perfect introduction to the entire system and, according to the creator, is only the first part of the "Ultimate Guide to Rain.Water", with more parts scheduled to be released in the near future.
Recently, OfNodesAndNoodles also released several new demos that showcased the tool's upcoming 2.2 version, demonstrating the add-on's capabilities in regards to realism, as well as the new features that will soon be added to Rain.Water.
