An Upcoming Figma Plug-In Uses Stable Diffusion's AI Powers to Design Ideas

Just describe your idea and draw some simple shapes to get the result you want.

Take a look at this upcoming Figma plug-in Ando that uses the text-to-image model Stable Diffusion to create design ideas. The plug-in is being developed by Antonio Cao.

All you need to do to make the design you want is add some simple shapes and describe your idea so Ando can generate an image. And if you don't like it, just press "Render" again and get another result. you can then edit your shapes and prompts to get something closer to what you have in mind.

The video provided by Antonio Cao shows some cool images of sneakers and cars. It also briefly demonstrates how the AI works with interiors based on a couple of lines.

You can try Stable Diffusion yourself as the creators published the model's code not so long ago. If you're interested in what else the tool can make, check out Overwatch characters generated by the AI:
