Bethesda's Lead: Amazing Stuff in Starfield May Not Feel Like Real Quest

So don't skip it.

I don't know about you, but I'm a completionist even when I don't want to be. I keep telling myself: "This time, I'll only follow the main quest" and then fail miserably; those NPCs over there won't help themselves, right?

But if you're not like me at all and wish to just quickly deal with the main story in Starfield, you might miss a lot of fun. According to Bethesda's Head of Publishing Pete Hines, you should not skip activities because they might lead you to the best content even if they don't look like quests.

"My one piece of advice – do not ignore your activities," Hines said (via GamesRadar). "It feels like throwaway stuff that the game is giving you, but there is some amazing stuff in there that doesn't even feel like a real quest but will take you to some amazing places, some amazing stories.

"We encourage you to play this like any [Bethesda Game Studios] game: do what you want, go where you want, be the player you wanna be and test this world and see what happens."

So it seems like Starfield has more to do on its countless planets than you expect – it's no surprise really if you think about Skyrim and Fallout. They would also often take you for a long ride if you looked away for a second.

And Hines definitely knows what he's talking about – the Head of Publishing has spent about 160 hours in the game and still hasn't come close to the end.

Starfield is finally going to be released on September 6, or you can play it on September 1 if you have the Premium Edition.
