EasyMapper combines world-aligned (triplanar) mapping with Nanite displacement and vertex painting.
Take a look at EasyMapper – a great new tool for Unreal Engine 5 that allows you to blend materials, created by William Faucher. It is a Master Material setup that combines world-aligned (triplanar) texture projection with Nanite displacement and advanced vertex painting.
With EasyMapper, you can project tileable, world-aligned textures across any surface combined with Nanite displacement without needing UVs. The setup will help you create fantastic fully textured environments easily, with just a few clicks.
You can switch between world-aligned (triplanar) texture mapping for precise texture scaling or use standard UV mapping on your models if you want. With Nanite tessellation/displacement, you can also detail your models using height or displacement maps. Furthermore, you can blend up to three different materials with advanced vertex blending to add realism to your models.
Here are some of EasyMapper's features:
- Full texture adjustments, tiling, blend, and scale controls.
- Displacement Contrast/Intensity Adjustments
- Normal Intensity
- Albedo Adjustments
- Roughness Adjustments
- Ambient Occlusion Adjustments
- Triplanar Blend Contrast
- Global Scale
- Displacement, Vertex Color, and World-Aligned mapping are all toggleable.
- Allows quick mapping of large scenes with ease, without worrying about UV stretching.
- Test Scene included for learning.
