Build a Cozy Town for Gourd Friends in This Sandbox City Builder

“No objectives, no points, just good vibes.”

If you enjoy simulations with pixelated graphics, we’re happy to introduce this newly launched game called Gourdlets, which is a cozy, relaxing “sandbox game about building towns for cute vegetable folks.”

The game is all about “good vibes,” as you won’t have any specific routine tasks or points to win. Playing against gentle background music, you have a completely free choice over what community to build for these small vegetable friends. No need to worry about if they like or dislike what you’ve created — the gourdlets are easy to satisfy and will be happy about whatever you’ve built for them.

As you work on customizing the outdoor areas and interiors of the buildings, don’t forget that the gourds are also customizable. As the launch trailer shows, their body colors can be chosen from a color palette, and you'll have a wide variety of accessories to choose from and place on their head: a crown, witch hat, or mailman hat, among many more.

In the game, you can feel the day and night cycles and customize the weather to fit the vibes. As the sky gets darker, the lamps are on to decorate the community with warm lights. One of the preview pictures shows a snowy scene when Christmas is coming. Trees and houses are adorned with Christmas decorations, and the Christmas snow almost makes me feel like it's December right now.

The community is flourishing as you enlarge the map and create more fun activities for the vegetable friends to join. You’ll see them get busy there: enjoying cozy rides on a tree swing, making BBQ marshmallows, farming, fishing, reading, and more.

Despite being launched for only two days, the game has received "very positive" reviews on Steam. There is a 20% off offer for the game, which will end on August 30. We highly recommend you check it out if you'd like to enjoy a cozy simulation game and make friends with these friendly and smart gourds. Meanwhile, we encourage you to follow AuntyGames, the indie developer behind this cute game, on X/Twitter to receive more intriguing in-game footage.
