Besides revealing the sales numbers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Witcher series as a whole, CD Projekt Red's latest earnings report has also provided an overview of the company's financial performance in the first quarter of 2023.
According to the report, CD Projekt Red experienced a 19% decrease in revenues compared to the previous year, totaling $41.4 million. However, there was a slight year-over-year increase in net profit, reaching $16.8 million during Q1 2023. As stated by CD Projekt CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, the largest contributors to the company's sales were Cyberpunk 2077 and the aforementioned The Witcher 3.
Furthermore, the report disclosed the results of CD Projekt Red's GOG division, which demonstrated an increase of total revenues by 3% to $9.84 million, as well as a significant year-over-year rise in net profit, reaching $59,000, representing a 63% increase.
