In a recent interview, CD Projekt Red confirmed that update 2.1 would be the "last big update" for Cyberpunk 2077, giving a glimpse into the company's plans. With the completion of major patches for the game, CDPR will shift its focus towards the development of upcoming titles, including the next installment of The Witcher series, codenamed Polaris, and a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.

Earlier we reported that nearly half of the studio's employees were already working on the next Witcher game, as revealed in CDPR's financial report. The report also highlighted the success of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, which exceeded sales of 4.3 million copies.
