The plug-in uses Geometry Nodes to create windows and holes inside a wall object.
If you are looking for a quick and easy way to diversify the appearance of your 3D urban buildings, then here's a cool new add-on that you won't want to miss. Meet Window Maker, a brand-new Blender plug-in developed by Blender Bash that enables you to effortlessly create procedural windows from simple faces in just a few seconds.
Once you enable the add-on, you'll find the BB Windows Panel in the side panel of the 3D Viewport. From there, with a simple button click, you can transform any object containing faces into fully customizable windows.
On top of that, the add-on has the ability to generate openings within a wall object (or a group of wall objects). These openings are also entirely procedural and are created automatically when you add new windows. Furthermore, they adjust their position dynamically as you move the windows around.
"It applies a Geometry Nodes modifier to the selected object. These applied node trees create Windows objects, but no Geometry Nodes knowledge is needed since all that matters for the user happens inside the side panel of the 3D viewport," commented the creator on how the plug-in works." Once the windows are created, this panel populates with many options organized inside dropdown menus."
