Days Gone's gone.
Recently, Jeff Ross, the former game director for Days Gone at Bend Studio, posted a disheartening message on Twitter, dashing the hopes of fans awaiting a sequel to the game:
Days Gone, the zombie survival game by Bend Studio, was originally released on PlayStation in April 2019, with a Windows port released in May 2021. Ross revealed in January 2022 that the game had sold around 9 million copies, outpacing Ghost of Tsushima's 8 million sales. Despite its good sales, and a petition urging Sony PlayStation to approve Days Gone 2 garnering over 226k signatures, Ross's recent comments suggest that the likelihood of a sequel is extremely low.

Days Gone 2 was definitely not something that fans imagined. Last year, following the PlayStation Showcase in May, Jeff Ross voiced his disappointment on Twitter. The event served as a somber reminder for him that his project had not been given the go-ahead by Sony. Ross added that, had the sequel been approved, fans could have anticipated a 2023 release.
