If given a chance, the devs would redo the final Dead Space game "almost completely".

Even today, more than ten years after its release, Dead Space 3 remains one of, if not the worst final installment in a video game franchise, with both regular gamers and die-hard fans criticizing it for its lackluster storyline, tedious gameplay, and desultory co-op implementation.
However, the most significant point of contention has been its failure to deliver the one essential element that horror games cannot do without: it simply wasn't scary enough. It failed to reach the same level of horror experienced in its predecessors, and as it turned out, Dead Space 3 wasn't even supposed to be scary in the first place.
In a recent interview with the CaptainBribo podcast, Chuck Beaver, the Writer and Co-Producer of Dead Space 3, revealed that the developers were not permitted to create the third installment as a horror game, with EA's plan being to expand Dead Space into other gameplay genres. According to Beaver, this decision to experiment with the Dead Space finale not only failed to attract a new audience but also alienated the existing fanbase.
In addition, Beaver mentioned that, if given the chance, he would "redo Dead Space 3 almost completely" and rework the central narrative to place a greater focus on Isaac Clarke. He would, however, "keep the lore beat it's predicated on" and retain the game's co-op mechanic.
