Deep Rock Galactic Dev Revamps Paid Skins in the Game After Player Criticism

"Community feedback and discussion remains a huge part of developing DRG, and we always want to hear from you."

Deep Rock Galactic developer, Ghost Ship Games, made significant revisions to a set of paid skins for the game, following criticism from the players.

Ghost Ship Games unveiled the Decontaminator skin pack in the middle of May. Shortly after the pack was introduced, numerous players expressed their disappointment, stating that they had higher expectations from it. The images received criticism for both the models' design and color choices.

On May 30, Ghost Ship Games announced that they had listened to this feedback and made the decision to completely overhaul the skins from the set. The developers have already unveiled the updated versions of the skins, which have received positive responses from the players.

"As always, we are very grateful for all your candid comments. Community feedback and discussion remains a huge part of developing DRG, and we always want to hear from you. Whether it be praise or critique, it’s always a good indicator if we are on the right track or not," the studio wrote.

Ghost Ship Games noted that, in addition to the revamped versions, the old versions of the skins will also be included in the game to ensure those who liked it could purchase the pack and use the skins they want.

The Decontaminator Pack is scheduled to be released on June 15 for PC and June 22 for consoles, coinciding with the launch of Season 4.
