Deep Rock Galactic Sales Surpassed 5.5 Million Copies

The game sold over 2.3 million units in 2022 alone.

Cooperative first-person shooter from Ghost Ship Games, Deep Rock Galactic, has sold over 5.5 million copies, the developer revealed.

Ghost Ship Games has announced the news on Steam revealing an infographic displaying various noteworthy statistics, with the most significant, of course, being that Deep Rock Galactic's sales surpassed 5.5 million copies since its early access release on PC and Xbox in February 2018.

Insight into the sales performance of the co-op shooter also showed that the game sold over 2.3 million units in 2022 alone.

Additionally, the studio reported that 9.5 million units were claimed on PlayStation through PS Plus in January 2022 and that over 750,000 new players joined the game on Xbox platforms throughout the year. On Steam, the game had 113,700 daily active users in 2022, an increase from the 75,500 DAUs in 2021. The game also had an average of 11,544 concurrent users on the platform with a peak of 46,688 players.

The studio mentioned that Deep Rock Galactic's user base had "almost tripled" since 2019, with the game becoming available on more platforms such as Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
