Diablo IV Dev Explains the Game's Limited Stash Tabs

"They create a lot of memory overhead," revealed Blizzard's Joseph Piepiora.

Among the topics discussed during the stream was the much-anticipated 1.1.1 update, which sparked a lot of discussion, particularly regarding the addition of just one extra stash tab. Many players questioned why only one tab was being added, given the limited inventory space in Diablo IV.
