Adobe has released a new version of Dimension, its 3D rendering and compositing tool for graphic designers.
The latest version brings a new 3D text system and a set of 3D primitives, so you can use the toolkit as a traditional graphic design tool, in 3D.
There's also a new color temperature system for lighitng, new 3D camera controls, the option to import models in USD format, and more.
The toolkit allows graphic designers to import 3D models created in other tools, assign materials, textures and HDRI lighting, render images as layered PSD files for post-processing in Photoshop.
The update introduces the new text system, which allows creating 3D text dynamically supporting extrusion, bevelling and custom materials. Users can customize font family, font style, character and line spacing, plus alignment.
The new system also allows to extrude text to a custom depth, apply one of seven preset bevel styles. You can learn more about the new version here.
