Fans Say That Hideo Kojima's New Game OD Might be a Successor to P.T.

Some fans think that OD might be even a new game in the Silent Hill series.

After Hideo Kojima unveiled the new OD game during The Game Awards 2023, fans have been speculating and coming up with some conspiracy theories.

Speaking of which, some believe that OD is the same Overdose project initially associated with Google Stadia but later picked up by Microsoft. OD is described as an interactive horror movie featuring digital copies of Holywood stars, such as Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier.

Although it was hard to notice anything during the TGA broadcast, fans discovered some details later, in a video uploaded to the official Kojima Productions YouTube channel. By analyzing the video frame by frame, eagle-eyed viewers noticed letters hidden throughout. When pieced together, these letters spelled out "ATAMI". Atami might refer to a city in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. In Japanese, Shizuoka is written by the characters 静岡, where the first character signifies "silent" or "quiet" and the second character represents "hill" or "plateau." That's interesting since the Silent Hill game team hailed from Shizuoka Prefecture and named their horror game after their hometown.

Based on these findings, fans speculate that OD could potentially be a successor to the iconic P.T. and even a new installment in the Silent Hill series. Well, as for now, there is not much information to know for sure since the project is still in its early stages, and what eventually will be shipped is unclear.
