It's not what you expect.
PyroLith, the developer of V.A. Proxy, a parry-focused open-world action game, has added a fishing mechanic that the fans asked for.
"Finally added THE most requested mechanic, you can fish now," PyroLith wrote on Twitter. However, this version of fishing doesn't resemble the familiar quiet and slow process. A fishing rod itself already looks like a sci-fi weapon and a caught "fish" fights back with a sword. According to the developer, the fishing rod works seamlessly with other in-game weapons and can be used to pull in any small-sized enemy or make the big ones lose balance.
The game is still in development and has a demo on Steam. PyroLith has been sharing updates and other videos related to the project, for instance, an update with a scythe gun:
