The game will be set in a post-apocalyptic metropolitan city and feature a futuristic 3D anime art style and an "exhilarating action-orientated" combat system with QTE elements.

The Chinese studio miHoYo, best known as the creator of a successful action RPG title Genshin Impact, has unveiled its latest project – an urban fantasy ARPG called Zenless Zone Zero. The studio shared several plot details, presented the debut trailer, and published the first screenshots of the upcoming game.

The game is set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu where players will take on the role of a "Proxy", a professional who guides people in their exploration of the "Hollows" – a supernatural disaster that has destroyed contemporary civilization.

Along the journey, players will be joined by a group of partners to fight against mysterious monsters known as "Ethereal" that have appeared as a result of the disaster.

Zenless Zone Zero features a futuristic 3D anime art style and an "exhilarating action-orientated" combat system with QTE elements. The game will represent a mixture of an action role-playing game and roguelike.

The studio hasn't revealed any release date for Zenless Zone Zero yet. According to the developers, the game will first be released for PC, iOS, and Android, with miHoYo promising to "continue to expand the available platforms". Players can already sign up for the closed beta on the official website of the game.

The beta test will include English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean with more languages to be supported in the future.
