Grand Theft Horse Creators Announce Wild West-Themed Game, Cowboys and Rustlers

Players can look forward to encountering cowboy skaters, robbing a roller coaster, and even helping their talking horse write a novel.

The creators of Rustler (Grand Theft Horse), a Grand Theft Auto parody set in medieval times, announced their next project – a Wild West-themed game Cowboys and Rustlers. Additionally, the developer released a debut trailer showcasing the gameplay of the project.

According to the studio, Cowboys and Rustlers aims to provide a unique experience by highlighting a special bond between a man and his horse. It promises players an opportunity to help Theodore, "a cynical horse", in writing his "revolutionary" novel while also causing mayhem throughout the game world.

Like its predecessor, Rustler, the game features a top-down perspective inspired by GTA 2. The game will frequently require you to engage in shootouts with the town's villains, and you may even have to use your horse's powerful kicks to send your enemies to their graves.

Although the release date for the game is unknown, interested players can already add it to their Steam wishlists. Considering the studio's past projects, it is likely that the game will initially be released in early access.
