Concept Artist and Art Director Leo Avero has shared a gameplay clip showcasing character locomotion in Project Agni, an upcoming third-person shooter horror game made with Unreal Engine 5.
Art Director and Concept Artist Leo Avero has posted a fun WIP gameplay clip of his upcoming game called Project Agni, a third-person shooter horror game featuring a Muslim lady protagonist who is a member of a fictional secret agency.
In this video, the artist has showcased locomotion animation and revealed he'll be aiming for Unreal Engine's 5.4 Motion Matching when the proper documentation is released. Unlike traditional animation systems, Motion Matching can make animation pose selections from a set of animation data to create a responsive and reactive animation system to the gameplay, without the need to set up transitions or blend Animation Sequences.
As the artist has revealed that the protagonist is going to be a member fictional secret agency, the creature in the video is still a placeholder model. Check out some older and really atmospheric Project Agni clips:
