Heimerdinger & Ekko on a Spy Mission in Arcane's Latest Trailer

The new clip's stunning animation reminds us that the show's launch is just around the corner.

In just around three months' time, the highly anticipated second season of Arcane is set to hit the screens, promising to deliver an epic conclusion to the greatest video game-based TV series ever created. Reminding us about the sequel's November release, Netflix has shared a new teaser trailer for the acclaimed show, once again captivating the audience with Fortiche's masterful animations.

Having already highlighted what the show has in store for Jinx and Vi, Netflix shifted the focus to another duo of iconic characters – Heimerdinger and Ekko – showing them breaking into the former's own lab.

Playing on the classic gag of one character being ultra-cautious in a spy-like scenario and the other remaining nonchalant and almost bored by the situation, the teaser offers a look at the sequel's stunning 3D character animations, proving that despite a three-year break, Fortiche hasn't lost its touch with Arcane's unique art style. "Zaun's finest; make sneaking back into your lab look good," reads the trailer's description, and one couldn't agree more.

Previously, the show's creators confirmed that Arcane: Season 2 will be the final installment in the series, a refreshing decision in today's world of sequels, prequels, spin-offs, remakes, and reimaginings, demonstrating that despite the show's commercial success, Riot Games and Fortiche still view it as a work of art first and foremost and have no intention of turning it into a soulless, tedious, and unideaed money printer.

Prior to that, Fortiche also shared the release window for Arcane Season 2, assuring fans that the story will continue in November 2024. From what has been revealed so far, it seems that the impending sequel will be even darker than the first season, a sentiment echoed by Jinx voice actress Ella Purnell, who described the sequel as "devastating, and nobody will feel good after watching it."
