Home Alone's Macaulay Culkin Joins Fallout TV Series' Season 2

Don't know about his SPECIAL stats, but Traps should definitely be at 300%.

Amazon's Fallout TV show is gearing up for its second season, with reports indicating that none other than Macaulay Culkin, famous worldwide for his role as Kevin McCallister in the iconic 1990 Christmas movie Home Alone, will be joining the cast, set to star alongside Walton Goggins as Cooper Howard, Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, and Aaron Moten as Maximus.

The news comes from a report by Deadline, based on anonymous sources familiar with the production process of Fallout Season 2. As of now, the information in the report is quite scarce, with the only available bit being that Culkin is set to portray a "crazy genius-type character," while further details about the role remain TBA.

With this reveal, the community began speculating about who exactly Culkin might play in the sequel. Considering Culkin's recognizability, along with the first season's ending, which shows Lucy's father overlooking New Vegas, many have reasonably assumed that it's within the realm of possibility for him to portray an already existing character from Fallout: New Vegas, similar to how Rafi Silver portrayed Robert House and Michael Mulheren was cast as Dead Money's Frederick Sinclair.

Based on Culkin's appearance, and depending on whether the "crazy" or "genius" aspect is more prominent, fans have half-jokingly suggested two potential characters for him to portray:

If true, Culkin's addition to the cast as a recurring character from Fallout: New Vegas could potentially be a strategic move to win over die-hard Fallout fans, who, while didn't outright hate the show, had more than a few questions about its handling of the franchise's lore and various inconsistencies, Todd Howard's decision to view the show as canon, and what some saw as Bethesda's attempts to undermine the legacy of the original Fallout games and New Vegas through the nuking of Shady Sands and the apparent destruction of the Jewel of the Mojave Wasteland.

On the other hand, the showrunners have previously stated that they had no intention of pleasing OG Fallout fans with their adaptation, meaning it's entirely possible, more likely even, that Culkin would be joining the team as a completely original character. Either way, my only hope is that his character's tag skills include Small Guns, Repair, and Traps, just so the community can get a few laughs out of imagining a post-apocalyptic Kevin McCallister.
