Isometric WW1 Survival Horror CONSCRIPT Will Be Published by Team17

The developer attributed the decision to team up with a publisher to the fact that the game had passed 70,000 wishlists on Steam.

Back in April, Solo Game Developer Jordan Mochi published a comprehensive devlog, providing an update on the state of CONSCRIPT, the developer's upcoming isometric survival horror game set during the WWI-era.

Among other things, the developer announced that he was in "late stage negotiations with one of the leading publishers in the world", which would allow him to focus more on the development process itself. Jordan attributed the decision to team up with a publisher to the fact that CONSCRIPT had passed 70,000 wishlists on Steam.

Several months later, the game's publisher has finally been revealed, with Team17, a British video game developer and publisher that specializes primarily in working with indie developers, announcing that they will act as the publisher for CONSCRIPT. Additionally, the company disclosed a release window for the game, saying that it is set to be released next year for PC.

"We're blasting back to the terrors of WW1 with survival horror CONSCRIPT – in partnership with Catchweight Studio!" reads the announcement. "A lone French soldier fights for survival amidst the danger of mankind’s most brutal and horrifying conflict. PC 2024."

"I'm excited to announce that I’ve partnered with Team17 to launch CONSCRIPT in 2024!" adds the game's developer Jordan Mochi. "I'm proud to have CONSCRIPT stand alongside other indie greats in their amazing catalogue – and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish as a team."

The April devlog also shed some light on CONSCRIPT's length, with Jordan revealing that "the game will be six chapters long, with most of the six chapters taking place in a completely new area. The 2022 demo contained chapter 1, which is the shortest chapter, and also around a third of chapter 2. So hopefully, this gives you an idea of the scope of the game compared to the demo."

Furthermore, the developer shared tons of new screenshots showing how the game looks at the moment:
