They do transfer between PC and PS5.
South Park is famous for referencing popular media, and the time for Baldur's Gate 3 has also come. In its latest special, called Joining The Panderverse, we see an unusual version of Eric Cartman from another universe who loves Larian's newest RPG.
Cartman finds out the game's saves don't cross between multiple universes, to which Stan replies that they don't even transfer between PC and PlayStation 5.
Now, this is not true, and Larian Studios was quick to point it out on X/Twitter:
"While Baldur’s Gate 3 saves can’t cross multiversal barriers, we can confirm they do actually transfer between PC and PS5!"
The South Park creators haven't responded yet, and I doubt they will unless in a reference to this comment in one of the future episodes.
Some people in the comments seem surprised Larian found out about this little fact and even replied, but the company is known for its awareness on the internet; you can find all kinds of fun moments from Baldur's Gate 3 and fan art reposted on its X/Twitter.
South Park's Season 26 ended in March this year, and the Joining the Panderverse special aired on October 27 on Paramount+.
