Learn How to Create HoloLens 2 Experiences Using Unreal Engine

This 3.5-hour course by Kevin Lyle will teach you how to develop mixed reality experiences in Unreal Engine from configuring the software to preparing the app for submitting it to the Microsoft Store.

The first lesson is dedicated to setting up a working environment in Unreal Engine. It teaches you how to prepare UE for the development of mixed reality applications for HoloLens. The next tutorial is all about eye-tracking and head interactions. It explains how HoloLens responds to the users' gaze and how to design apps that will feel natural without being too overwhelming and causing motion sickness.

The third and most time-consuming lesson covers hand interactions in mixed reality experiences. It teaches you how to use the Mixed Reality UX Tools open-source library to create hand interactions and interactable objects and explains how to make your experiences feel real.

Finally, you will find out how to build user interfaces for HoloLens, how to create the right UI for hand interactions, what to consider when developing immersive UIs as compared to the traditional UIs. You will then learn how to assemble your HoloLens app and submit it to the Microsoft Store.
