Ryan James Smith shared one more demo for his WiP fluid solver plug-in.
Tech Art Director of Research and Development at Gearbox and Founder of Overdraw.XYZ Ryan James Smith, who earlier this month showcased an upgraded version of the WiP multigrid fluid solver for Unreal Engine 5, has recently shared a new demo providing one more look at his custom plug-in.
This time, the creator demonstrated how the solver can be used to set up mesmerizing explosion simulations in UE5, which consist of around five million voxels and run at 60 FPS in real-time on a 24 GB Titan RTX GPU. Additionally, the artist "mapped temperature to the Blackbody gradient, and added ambient occlusion to the render" to make the final result look prettier.
