Epic Games will get exclusive rights for the PC release.
Lords of the Fallen, publisher CI Games' most expensive title, will get a sequel in 2026, according to a new report. The company has signed a binding contract with Epic Games, promising it exclusive distribution rights for the PC release.
"The rights to the Game and the Series, including all intellectual property rights (IP), as well as the rights to publish and distribute the Game worldwide on all other platforms, including the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms for which the Game is currently in development, will remain with the Company"
Lords of the Fallen is a reboot of the older game, released last year. Its launch wasn't as well met as CI Games and developer HEXWORKS expected, and the publisher's shares dropped 18% soon after. At the moment, it has Mixed reviews on Steam. Hopefully, the sequel, previously known as Project 3, will be received better.
The new game will possibly be called Death of the Fallen as the trademark registered by CI Games suggests.
CI Games is also working on Project Survive, a new IP made with Unreal Engine 5, scheduled to be released in 2025.
