The module has been released as part of the 2.1.0 update and is currently in beta.
If you are looking for a way to quickly and easily rig and animate realistic bird wings, here's a fantastic tool that might help you out. Check out the Wing module, a neat module designed for creating feathered wings, shipped with the recent 2.1.0 update to Mansur-Rig, an advanced modular rig builder for Maya developed by Assaf Ben Zur.
Currently in beta, the Wing module enables its user to create highly-realistic and anatomically-accurate wings thanks to the compound FK chain module that extends from each of the main module's guides to control the global silhouette of the feathers.
To precisely control the complex bird wing, features such as featherJoints, custom position adjustment, feathers spring, global wave control, individual feather control, bendy limbs, and extension-to-look-at are also included.
