Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Might Be Coming in September 2023

The game's marketing campaign is likely to kick off in August.

Insomniac Game's upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2 might be released in September 2023. That's according to actor Tony Todd who voiced Venom in the game.

Todd, who has appeared in several well-known movies such as Platoon, Candyman, and Final Destination, was revealed in September 2021 as the voice of Venom in Spider-Man 2. At the same time, Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter were confirmed to be returning as the voices of Peter Parker and Miles Morales respectively.

Since then, there has been little official information about the sequel. However, Insomniac did confirm in December that Spider-Man 2 was scheduled to release in the fall of 2023.

Now, replying to a fan's comment on Twitter, Todd shared that it "looks like" the game will be launched in September adding that the advertising campaign for the superhero action title should start in August.

"Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in August. Commercials start dropping in August so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold breath! Gonna be necessary," the actor wrote.

While Todd may have access to reliable insider information about Marvel's Spider-Man 2, his tweet was clearly not an official announcement and it's unclear when Insomniac will be ready to reveal more details about the game.

Earlier, Insomniac's lead engineer programmer Elan Ruskin let it slip that the sequel to Spider-Man will feature new "very cool" dialogue technology, although it's currently unknown what this technology encompasses.
