Metal Gear Solid 4 Looks Smooth on PC

It's not perfect but it feels good.

Player Perfect Stealth showed off Metal Gear Solid 4 running on their PC, and it has to be said that it looks surprisingly smooth and overall awesome at 60 FPS, although Perfect Stealth says there are some issues with the port.

MGS4 was released in 2008 for PlayStation 3, which doesn't have an official emulator yet, although rumor has it Sony is working on it. This makes playing PS3 games on computers a tricky task as fan-made solutions are usually not perfect.

Perfect Stealth, Konami

Hideo Kojima has recently shed some light on how the fight between Raiden and the Gekko in Metal Gear Solid 4 was made, so check it out if you enjoy this part of the series.

MGS4 should be available for those who don't have the PS3 one day, according to rumors of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. The first volume, released in October, included the first 3 games, so it's safe to assume the next one will remaster MGS4. However, Konami keeps mum about it for now.

RPCS3 has really come a long way. They really got the game working well finally which is nice. Emulation really has saved many titles from obscurity.

You don't exactly need a specific build to do this. My laptop i7 12th Gen with a 3060ti laptop edition runs it fairly well. You just have to take the time to look up the proper setting and configure the game for it.

isnt this just rpcs3?  people have been able to play about 2/3rds of mgs4 on ps3 emulators for quite some time now.  you just need a very specific build and setup.
