These motorbike rides are crazy.
NVIDIA's path tracing makes Cyberpunk 2077 look prettier and more lifelike, but it can hardly compare to what YouTuber NextGen Dreams demonstrated in their recent showcase. Apparently, a bunch of mods can turn the video game into a photorealistic adventure that can fool your eyes. If you have a powerful computer, naturally.

NextGen Dreams starts by showing some vehicles that made me think I was watching IRL footage: every surface shines extremely believably, and fumes rise the way they're supposed to. Then, you get to enjoy a nice ride around Night City atop an awesome motorbike, and here is when the illusion breaks a little bit: those puddles would not be so still if a real vehicle were to slice them.

Overall, it's a fantastic experience proving people can do anything given the right tools. Speaking of tools, here are the mods NextGen Dreams used to achieve this photorealistic feeling:

Aside from these mods, this quality is possible thanks to DLSS 3.5 and ReSTIR GI Path Tracing. The game is running on RTX 4090, which explains its smooth sailing.
