More AAA Titles Are Coming To Apple Devices

During WWDC 2024, Apple announced a lengthy line-up of new games coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac with Assassin's Creed Shadows headlining the list.

Since the release of the iPhone 15 model with its Pro edition capable of running major video games right in the palm of your hand, Apple has introduced a handful of AAA games to the iOS system, such as Death Stranding, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4, and others.

While the main focus of WWDC 2024 was traditional yearly updates to the software across Apple hardware devices, some gaming-related announcements were made including Mac's Gaming Mode coming to iPhone and the introduction of Game Porting Toolkit 2 with improved Windows compatibility, but the biggest deal was Ubisoft joining the stage to talk about Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which is set to release on Mac on the same day as it arrives across other platforms this autumn.

Additionally, as shown in the image captured during the presentation, more AAA titles will be joining the line-up of iOS-supported games in the coming months. Here's every game announced at WWDC 2024:

  • Assassin's Creed Shadows
  • Dead Island 2
  • Sniper Elite 4
  • Wuthering Waves
  • Control Ultimate Edition
  • Palworld
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Riven
  • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
  • Valheim
  • World of Warcraft: The War Within
  • Frostpunk 2
  • Resident Evil 2
  • RoboCop: Rogue City

There's no doubt the list of macOS and iOS-supported games will continue to expand shortly as Apple's technology becomes increasingly powerful with a new iPhone 16 underway, and now that the Ubisoft Anvil engine is fully compatible with Apple's ecosystem, the developer is determined to continue bringing Anvil titles to Apple devices.
