Following The Witcher, Dishonored might become the next video game adaptation by Netflix.
According to a new rumor from the Giant Freakin Robot website, Dishonored might become the next video-game-based production by Netflix. Dishonored is a series of action-adventure games developed by Arkane Studios, and published by Bethesda Softworks. The franchise was introduced in 2012 with Dishonored. A sequel, Dishonored 2 was released in 2016.
The source that told about the adaptation is not, however, 100% reliable since no compelling evidence has been presented, but the Giant Freaking Robot website claims that their inside source is "trusted and proven". Netflix’s great push towards videogame intellectual properties can also be a sign that the Dishonored TV series is indeed in production.
Reportedly, the author of the script would be Gennifer Hutchinson, an Emmy-winning author who also worked on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The list of actors involved includes John Slattery, Chloë Grace Moretz, Brad Dourif, Susan Sarandon, and Lena Headey. Moretz and Headey had previously worked on the Dishonored franchise, giving their voices to Emily Kaldwin and Callista Curnow respectively.
