Be responsible for your own fate.
If you're wondering about the real charm of top-down tactical shooters, seeing the entire battlefield from above with a bird's eye view is just a small part of it. It's a thrill to watch your carefully planned strategy unfold, whether it crushes your foes or tragically fails.

Status One is just one such game. In this unique game, you have the opportunity to form your own counter-terrorist task force, stepping into dual roles as a field operator and team leader. Your responsibilities extend beyond leading and training your squad, as you'll also be actively participating in battles against various crime factions.
The gameplay features an easy-to-use command system for detailed battle planning and an in-depth progression system. You'll begin with basic pistols and weak armor, and gradually upgrade to superior gear and gadgets. Embedded within a sandbox-like storyline, each decision you make impacts the narrative, shaping your reputation as a leader and the future of your country.

The gameplay and graphics might remind you of another indie game released last month — No Plan B. In a Reddit thread, the developer discussed the main difference between similar games — you will join in the fight in person instead of just planning. That's to say, you are responsible for your own fate.

Speaking about the project, the developer noted:
"5y ago we first touched unity engine and we were making 2d version of this game, then 3y later we scrapped whole project started again from the begining but in 3d and it was very good decision."

The game is set to launch in the fourth quarter of this year and you can already wishlist it on Steam now.
By the way, if you ever wonder the meaning of the game's title, as per the developer, "Status One" is a term derived from police code, typically indicating the commencement of duty or a similar phase.
