Noir Action Deckbuilder Game Inspired by Metal Gear Solid & Dishonored

Sleight of Hand is a newly announced game that combines deckbuilding mechanics with stealth espionage gameplay.

RiffRaff Games, an independent development studio led by Joshua Boggs, has officially announced Sleight of Hand, the team's upcoming third-person action deckbuilder game that masterfully combines card game mechanics, stealth espionage gameplay, and noir vibes into one unforgettable experience.

Inspired by games like Dishonored and Metal Gear Solid, Sleight of Hand tasks you to infiltrate and take down an old witch coven that the player character used to be a part of in the past. Your main weapon will be a cursed deck of cards, where each card provides you with a unique special ability, such as teleportation, the ability to set up traps and bind enemies, and such. While a sneaky approach is not obligatory, the game will reward you for stealth, allowing you to draw a card for free if you manage to sneak up on your foes.

On your way, you'll also uncover cursed trinkets that have persistent, passive effects that activate on special conditions, which you'll be able to equip to upgrade your abilities. The deck of cards itself can also be upgraded, with the game allowing you to tailor it to specific environments and settle old scores. But remember, in Sleight of Hand, power comes from efficiency, so what cards you take with you is just as important as how many you take.

"Inspired by my love for noir and tactical espionage action, Sleight of Hand is the biggest project I've directed and designed," commented Joshua Boggs. "A heartfelt thanks to the incredible team at RiffRaff Games for walking alongside me as we take the genre in a new direction. TLDR; It's what you would get if you took my friend Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid, added a dash of unique cardplay, and poured a heavy dose of hardboiled noir with occult undertones like Dishonored over the world. All my favorite games, with a twist."
