Paint Adjustments Directly Onto Image With Photoshop's May Release

Adobe has launched Photoshop 25.9, introducing the Adjustment Brush Tool that combines the flexibility of adjustment layers with the control of a brush tool for applying localized changes to images.

With this month's Adobe Photoshop release, the Adjustment Brush Tool, previously a beta feature, is finally available for all users. This tool combines a few traditional workflows of selecting, masking, and applying an adjustment into one step, simplifying the way of making local changes.

Not only it's an easy and intuitive way of directly painting adjustments onto your image, but it also offers a non-destructive workflow with Photoshop generating a new adjustment layer with a layer mask once you start painting. When applied, you can edit the adjustments' values in the Properties panel.

Additionally, Set default font size automatically is a new option that calculates and sets the default font size based on Photoshop document resolution and zoom factor. This preference is enabled by default, and if disabled, new type layers will be set to 12pt.
