The animation was created for a musculo-skeletal simulation, currently WIP.
With the commencement of this year's "Spooky Season", numerous digital artists have begun to share their Halloween-inspired projects, drawing inspiration from the most iconic symbols of the holiday, including pumpkins, ghosts, and, of course, skeletons.
An excellent illustration of this is the work of a 3D artist who goes by the name Arthos. Recently, Arthos captured the attention of thousands by showcasing an anatomically precise animation of wrist rotation at the bone level.
According to the artist, this animation was crafted using Blender and Artec 3D's human skeleton 3D model for an ongoing musculoskeletal simulation project. Currently, the skeleton, as well as skin geometry, has been fully constructed and rigged, making it possible for the creator to animate it by retargeting mocap animations.
You can follow the production process by visiting Arthos' Twitter and Reddit pages.
