A Software Developer and Unity enthusiast Mirza Beig released an update to Post-Processing Scan, a Unity-powered asset that allows you to set up 3D scan/sonar-like effects. According to the creator, the update allows the asset to work with URP, Built-In, and Post-Processing Stack V2 and simplifies the overall workflow and customization.
In case you missed it, the Post-Processing Scan asset is a visualization of a spherical Signed Distance Field, rendered using the Scene's Depth and Color buffers. The asset supports multiple scans without image effects and one that works with image effects. The effect comes with a built-in pipeline and can be edited using Amplify Shader Editor.
