Procedural Wind-Blown Trees Set Up in Blender With Geometry Nodes

The developer plans to make the setup commercially available sometime in the future.

Procedural Artist and Add-on Developer Valeri "Val" Barashkov has recently showcased an impressive wind-blown tree effect that works automatically depending on the parameters of the trees themselves.

Set up in Blender, this realistic effect was achieved using the software's Geometry Nodes toolset and, according to the developer, is fully-procedural, created without Blender 3.5's simulation nodes. At the moment, the artist is working on refining the effect and adding more tree types, planning to make it commercially available via Gumroad and Blender Market once it is complete.

We highly encourage you to follow Val's Twitter page so as not to miss any future updates. Also, don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
