Programmer Recreates Angry Birds Physics in Minecraft

Two of the most iconic games of the early 2010s meet each other thanks to the "King of Redstone", SethBling.

SethBling, a talented Game Developer, Programmer, and Minecraft YouTuber, hailed as the "King of Redstone", continues pushing the beloved sandbox game to its limits, this time combining Minecraft with another iconic game from the early 2010s, Angry Birds, and unveiling a crossover of the century: a fully functional AB-style level in MC.

Having started this project back in early May, SethBling implemented Angry Birds' physics into Minecraft, adding gravity to blocks and altering the behavior of dynamite compared to vanilla Minecraft. Recently, he unveiled the first finished level, which, much like the original Angry Birds, tasks players with destroying pig-inhabited castles by launching birds from a giant slingshot, thus allowing one to experience Rovio's classic game in a 3D setting.

And here are some of SethBling's earlier demos showcasing AB physics in Minecraft:

Prior to that, the developer also recreated Jenga, Rocket League, and tetherball, we highly encourage you to visit SethBling's Twitter and YouTube pages to check out more of his crazy awesome Minecraft experiments.
