Quickly Build Your Next Environment in Blender with Latest Version of Terrain Mixer

It's as easy as moving sliders.

In case you missed it

Previous version

Upgrade your 3D workflow with the latest version of Terrain Mixer, a node-based terrain generator for Blender. It will quickly help you build all kinds of terrain to fit in any environment. All you need to do to enjoy the results is click a couple of buttons and move some sliders.

Inspired by Gaea, a terrain design tool for VFX, games, and virtual experiences developed by QuadSpinner, Terrain Mixer helps you mix height- and diffuse maps quickly and easily. It provides useful tools for tweaking the ground to your liking and 56 sky textures.

Terrain Mixer 2.1 introduces Erosion Mixer, a Geometry Nodes setup you can use to create custom erosion effects by mixing heightmaps.

For now, Boonar Studio recommends using NVIDIA 2080 Ti or better to work with the Mixer and watch some tutorials before buying it. You have to use Cycles to work with Terrain Mixer, while Terrain Mixer GN supports Cycles and Eevee.

  • CURVEmachine – a plug-in that aims to make Poly Curves editing more flexible. It helps you change parts of curves even after you add a radius to the curve corners, "making working with curve radii/arcs and non-circular blends essentially non-destructive."
  • Grassify – a generator that adds animated grass to your 3D models.
  • RetopoFlow 3 – a retopology mode for Blender that helps you create custom mid- or low-poly meshes on top of high-resolution sculpts.

Terrain Mixer works with Blender 3.6.2+ and is available for $39 on Gumroad. Boonar Studio also offers terrain sets separately at up to 16K resolution as well as references, clouds, and various materials.
