Realistic Moss Created With UE5's Nanite

Digital Artist B.O.W. revealed the results of a new experiment with Unreal Engine 5.

3D Environment and Lighting Artist B.O.W., who previously made a marvelous ice and snow simulation, has unveiled the results of a new experiment with Unreal Engine 5. This time, the artist has managed to set up extremely realistic moss using Nanite and UE5's most recent version. According to the artist, the moss is generated in SpeedTree and has a total of 100,000 to 900,000 triangles. The experiment runs at NVIDIA's RTX3090 at 50-60 FPS and, according to the project's description, will be further improved once the official version of UE5.1 is updated.
