Earlier today, both Remnant: From the Ashes and its sequel, Remnant 2, were made available on Xbox Game Pass. The games, developed by Gunfire Games, have gained attention as they offer a high-quality single-player and co-op soulslike experience. Remnant: From the Ashes, the first installment of the series, was originally released in August 2019 for Xbox One and other platforms.
In Remnant: From the Ashes, players find out that humanity is faced with chaos unleashed by an ancient evil from another dimension, leaving only a few survivors. You, as a player, must embark on a solo or co-op journey alongside up to two other survivors, confronting dangerous enemies to establish a new beginning and reclaim what was lost.

Speaking of Remnant 2, the game has received positive feedback this year, being one of the highlights in the game industry. Its recent DLC update, Remnant 2 – The Awakened King, was released earlier this month. Notably, both Remnant titles are now available on the PC Game Pass service as well. While it remains unclear why these games were released on Xbox Game Pass today, their surprise availability has sparked interest among fans.
In mid-November, Embracer Group shared its financial results, covering the period from July to September 2023. According to the report, Remnant 2 sold over 2 million copies and the whole Remnant series garnered over $66 million in net sales in the second quarter.
